Getting started for depot operators

In five steps, we guide you through the setup so that fleets can charge at your site. Allow some time for the technical integration of the charging stations, which usually takes 1 to 2 weeks.

1.Prerequisites

If you do not yet have an account, please register first, as described in Registration.

2.Step by step

  1. 1.
    First, create your site under Sites.

    You can find out how to do this in Create a site.

  2. 2.
    Next, connect the charging points by adding them and connecting your charging stations to BGL Charge.

    You do not need new stations for this.

    You can find out how the connection works in Manage charging points and connectors.

  3. 3.
    Next, under Tariffs, set your price.

    In most cases, a price per kWh is sufficient.

    If you would like to offer members of the BGL Charge community a lower price, create a second tariff for this purpose.

  4. 4.
    Next, publish an agreement offer in which you specify which fleets are permitted to charge and at which tariff.

    For the community tariff, select Community fleets as the fleet partner.

    You can find out how to do this in Add an agreement.

  5. 5.
    Finally, enter your payout details by providing your company's VAT ID number, IBAN and BIC.

    This is not yet necessary to get started.

    However, without this information, BGL Charge will not be able to pay out your earnings.

3.Result

Fleets can now accept or request your offer, and once an agreement is active, the fleet's vehicles charge at your site.

4.Note

You can set up the technical connection yourself. If you wish, the BGL Charge team will be happy to assist you with this or to carry it out together with you.

If your site does not yet exist, set the status to In planning. Fleets will then already see the site on the map and can express their interest, allowing you to identify demand at an early stage before you invest.
