Manage prices and tariffs

With a tariff, you set the energy price that fleets pay at your sites. We show you how to create a tariff in a few minutes and edit it later.

1.Prerequisites

You have the Admin role and have selected the Depot operator area at the top left. That is all you need to create a tariff.

2.Step by step

Create a tariff

  1. 1.
First, open Tariffs in the sidebar, where Tariff management displays all your tariffs and where you can find an existing tariff using Search tariff.
  2. 2.
Click Add tariff in the top-right corner to open the Add tariff form on the right.
  3. 3.
Under Name, enter a tariff name that will help you recognise the tariff later.

For a community tariff, it is best to choose a clear name, such as "BGL Community", so that you can find it immediately later in the agreement offer.

  4. 4.
Under Country, select the country where your site is located, as this determines the currency and VAT rate.
  5. 5.
Under Net energy price per kWh, enter your price per kilowatt-hour, excluding VAT.
  6. 6.
The VAT rate is selected automatically once you have chosen the country.
  7. 7.
    Finally, click Save.

Edit a tariff

  1. 1.
In Tariff management, in the Actions column, click the pencil icon next to the tariff to open the Edit tariff form on the right.

For tariffs with the status Active, the pencil icon is greyed out because these tariffs cannot be edited.

  2. 2.
Change Name, Country, or Net energy price per kWh.
  3. 3.
    Then click Save.

For tariffs with the status Draft or Inactive, you can also remove the tariff here by clicking Delete.

3.Result

The tariff appears in Tariff management with creation date, currency, energy price, VAT rate, status and the number of agreements that use it. From now on, it is also available for selection in the agreement offers.

4.Community tariffs

You can offer members of the BGL Charge community lower prices than you offer to other fleets. To do this, create a second tariff with the community price alongside your regular tariff and assign it in an agreement offer to the fleet partner Community fleets.

You can create a separate tariff for a bilateral agreement with individual partners in the same way. The tariff that you have assigned to the respective agreement is always the one used for billing.

It is best to include the name of the community in the name of the agreement offer, because fleets do not see community offers marked separately.

5.Note

All prices are exclusive of VAT. As a depot operator, you receive your net price in full; nothing is deducted from it.

The Depotcharge service fee of €0.02 per kWh (net) is paid by the fleet in addition.

In the Status column, you see how a tariff is used. As long as no agreement uses it, a tariff remains a Draft, and as soon as an agreement uses it, it becomes Active.

You can edit or delete tariffs with the status Draft or Inactive at any time.

Because the price of an active tariff cannot be changed, create a new tariff and a new agreement for a new price. Existing agreements keep their price, because each charging session is subject to the tariff that applied at the time of charging.
