Getting started for fleets
We will guide you through setting up your fleet in five steps so that your vehicles can charge at BGL Charge sites.
1.Prerequisites
If you do not yet have an account, please register first, as described in Registration. As a BGL member, you will gain access to the BGL Charge community and its community tariffs.
2.Step by step
- 1.Register or log in.
In doing so, you create your user account, your organisation and your company all at once, as described in the article on registration linked above.
- 2.Next, please check your company, which was created automatically during registration.
You will find it under Organisation settings in the Companies tab.
You only need additional companies if you wish to invoice separately.
You can read more about this in Adjust the organisation structure.
- 3.Next, under Fleets & charging cards, create your fleet, to which you will later assign your RFID cards.
You can find out how to do this in Create a fleet.
- 4.Now add an RFID card to the fleet and assign this card to a vehicle.
You can also enter your existing RFID cards from other providers, so you do not need to order new ones.
You can find out how to do this in Activate RFID card or Autocharge.
- 5.Finally, please conclude an agreement, because without an active agreement, your fleet will not be able to charge at third-party sites.
To do this, open the site where you wish to charge on the Map, click View agreement offer, and then click Accept agreement. Please keep an eye out for offers for the BGL Charge community, as depot operators offer members lower community tariffs there.
Depending on the depot operator's settings, the agreement either takes effect immediately or the operator first reviews your request. For more information, please see Request an agreement and view its status.
3.Result
Your RFID cards now work at all sites with which you have an active agreement.
4.Note
In a fleet, you must create a vehicle. You can find out how to do this in Add a vehicle.
Your drivers do not need their own account. So that they can use the Driver Web App on their phone, open Fleet manager > Fleets and select your fleet.
On the right-hand side of each vehicle, you will find an app login link that you can send to the driver together with the QR code.
